MIIT Outlines Plans to Support Overseas Expansion and Enhance Global Cooperation in 15th Five-Year Plan

On September 28, at the press conference for the 2026 World Intelligent Connected Vehicles Conference, Hao Lishun, Deputy Director of the First Equipment Industry Department at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, stated that recently, the MIIT, together with relevant departments, compiled and released the 15th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Intelligent Connected NEV Industry, which sets out goals and tasks such as building global industry and supply chains, enhancing overseas development service capabilities, and supporting foreign-funded enterprises in investing and cooperating in China. The aim is to create a market-oriented, law-based, and internationalized first-class business environment and open up new prospects for global industrial cooperation. During the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the MIIT will deepen international trade and investment cooperation, improve supporting measures such as cross-border logistics, investment, and financing, while strengthening overseas risk prevention and enterprise compliance development, and guiding enterprises to carry out overseas expansion in a prudent and orderly manner.
