Talonx Resources announced on September 25 that fieldwork had started at its approximately 1,000-square-kilometre Kihabe Project in northwestern Botswana. Initial work at the Gossan prospect comprises soil sampling, geological mapping and targeted rock-chip sampling. More than 700 soil samples are planned at 100-metre intervals along traverses spaced 400 metres apart to screen for copper and associated base-metal anomalies and guide closer-spaced follow-up and future drill targeting.
Previously reported combined Indicated and Inferred Mineral Resources at Kihabe and Nxuu total 27.0 million tonnes, containing approximately 385,000 tonnes of zinc, 186,000 tonnes of lead and 6.44 million ounces of silver. Copper is excluded from the existing resource estimates. The programme will progressively assess other prospective areas, integrating surface investigations with historical drilling to evaluate targets beyond the known zinc-lead deposits. Work remains at the surface investigation and target-screening stage.
