SMM learned that a computing power service provider in Hubei offered a monthly rental of 140,000 yuan for an H200-141G SXM eight-card full server, equivalent to approximately 24.3 yuan per card per hour, with a one-year contract term, one month's deposit and one month's rent paid upfront, including 100M dedicated bandwidth and one IPv4 address. Currently, one unit is available as spot cargo, and another unit is expected to arrive in October. The configuration includes two 8558 processors, 2T of memory, 1T×2 system drives, and 3.84T×2 data drives. The provider stated that the procurement cost of H200 full servers has risen by approximately one million yuan over the past month, driving up rental prices for new units accordingly.

Sivers Semiconductors announced a $30 million expansion of its indium phosphide (InP) manufacturing facility in Glasgow. Upon completion, the site is expected to support annual production of over 100 million CW DFB lasers. Work will begin in H2 2026, with operations targeted for Q4 2027. Sivers linked the investment to anticipated AI datacenter and optical-networking customer ramps and expects InP lasers and semiconductor optical amplifiers to play a growing role in energy-efficient optical connectivity. SMM views the expansion as direct medium-term support for high-purity indium demand. However, current output, utilization and indium intensity were not disclosed.

A computing power service provider listed 30 H200 full-machine futures at a Jiangsu data center in early September, with an external quotation range of 130,000 to 140,000 yuan per unit per month. All units have now been leased out at 128,000 yuan per unit per month, which is 2,000 yuan below the lower end of the quotation range, and no transactions were verified at quotation levels above 130,000 yuan. During the same period, other channels offered five-year closed-end bulk long-term contracts for 128 units or more at 98,000 to 128,000 yuan, but these differ from this batch in unit count and lease term, making them not directly comparable.
