[SMM Steel] Vietnam Import HRC Deals Hold Stable as Indonesian Offers Rise

[Vietnam] Vietnam’s import HRC market remained broadly stable, with around 50,000 tonnes of Indonesian-origin SAE1006 coils reportedly concluded last week at USD 535/tonne CFR Vietnam for November shipment. Offers from two Indonesian mills have since risen to USD 540/tonne CFR Vietnam for December and January shipments, but the higher levels have so far attracted little buying interest.

Some steel mills, faced with sluggish domestic demand, are inclined to offer discounts for billet exports, and trading volumes have improved compared with earlier periods.
