[SMM PV Flash] Electricity consumption in August exceeded 1 trillion kWh again, with load hitting a record high

Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation (Standardization Administration of China) released the first national standard in the perovskite PV field, "Photovoltaic devices—Part 12: Measurement methods for current-voltage (I-V) characteristics of perovskite PV cells and modules" (GB/T 6495.12—2026), which will be officially implemented in 2027. The standard was proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee on Solar Photovoltaic Energy Systems of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC90).

On September 15, the Ulanqab Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau of Inner Mongolia issued a public notice regarding the acceptance of the ecological environment impact assessment documents for the 450,000 kW generation-grid-load-storage integrated project in Huade County by Inner Mongolia Shanhe Huatai New Energy Co., Ltd. According to the notice, the project is a new construction, located within Qihao Town and Baiyintela Township in Huade County, Ulanqab City, Inner Mongolia. It will be developed in two phases by Inner Mongolia Shanhe Huatai New Energy Co., Ltd., with a total installed capacity of 450,000 kW.

On September 17, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) issued a notice terminating the expiry review of the order dated March 25, 2021, and rescinding that order. The order stemmed from expiry review RR-2020-001 concerning the dumping and subsidizing of certain PV modules and laminates from China. Accordingly, the Canada Border Services Agency will no longer continue to impose anti-dumping and countervailing duties on the aforementioned goods.
