VMAX: Comprehensive Cooperation with Texas Instruments Covering NEVs and AI Infrastructure

Published: Sep 19, 2026 20:50
VMAX announced today via its official WeChat account that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Texas Instruments, upgrading their collaboration from project coordination in the NEV sector to multi-track cooperation covering both the NEV sector and AI infrastructure. As their cooperation expands into the AI field, against the backdrop of sustained growth in AI and data centers, the two parties will leverage TI's full life cycle support spanning market development, chip selection, solution customization, and production ramp-up to provide integrated solutions that facilitate the upgrade of power supply architectures for AI infrastructure.

Li Auto: Self-Developed Batteries to Be Fully Deployed Across All Car Models
Li Auto (02015.HK) released an update on the progress of "Li Auto to Equip All Models with Self-Developed Batteries." Li Auto's previous decade was a startup phase, and the next phase requires sustained R&D investment to build technological barriers. In 2020, we formulated a key technology strategy: the two core technologies of intelligent EVs—batteries (battery cells) and chips—must be fully developed in-house. Currently, Li Auto's self-developed batteries have been deployed in the Li L8, Li L6, and Li i8, and going forward, Li Auto's self-developed batteries will be fully deployed across all of our car models. The deployment plan for Li Auto's self-developed batteries in Q4 of this year is as follows: The first deliveries of the new-generation Li MEGA will use CATL's 5C ternary lithium batteries. Once production preparations for Li Auto's self-developed batteries are complete, a full switch to Li Auto's self-developed 5C ternary lithium batteries will take place. The Li i9 will fully switch to Li Auto's self-developed 5C ternary lithium batteries after the self-developed batteries complete their production ramp-up. We will launch the 2026 Li i6 in Q4 of this year, equipped with Li Auto's self-developed 5C battery and self-developed Mach chip. At month-end September, we will open user reservations, with deliveries starting in early November.

GCL Group's Zhu Gongshan: Effective High-End Lithium Battery Capacity Expected to Continue Earning Premiums
Zhu Gongshan, Chairman of the Global Green Energy Council and Chairman of GCL Group, delivered a keynote speech at the "2026 World Power Battery Conference" held today. He stated that the growth logic of the lithium battery industry has shifted, with EVs remaining the fundamental base, while energy storage, AIDC backup power, embodied robots, eVTOL low-altitude mobility, electric ships, and space energy applications are opening up entirely new demand spaces. Amid integration and symbiosis, batteries have become a universal energy carrier across domains, and with scenario proliferation, technological iteration, carbon compliance dividends, and AI empowerment, effective high-end capacity will continue to earn premiums.
