September 3 news:
This week, Pr-Nd recycled from NdFeB scrap closed at 755-765 yuan/kg; dysprosium recycled from NdFeB scrap closed at 1,230-1,250 yuan/kg; terbium recycled from NdFeB scrap closed at 5,600-5,800 yuan/kg; gadolinium recycled from NdFeB scrap closed at 80-100 yuan/kg; holmium recycled from NdFeB scrap closed at 200-220 yuan/kg.

This week, the scrap market showed an overall trend of rising first and then stabilizing, mainly influenced by the mixed performance of Pr-Nd oxide prices. At the start of the week, Pr-Nd scrap prices remained stable, with suppliers holding back from selling on bullish expectations, limited circulating supply in the market, and lukewarm trading activity. Mid-week, driven by Pr-Nd oxide prices stopping their decline and rebounding, recycling enterprises slightly raised their purchase quotes, and scrap prices edged up accordingly. Some suppliers sold moderate volumes to lock in profits, but most remained on the sidelines. Although recycling enterprises followed the price increases to meet essential production needs, they were cautious about chasing higher prices due to losses, limiting high-price transaction follow-through. Subsequently, Pr-Nd oxide prices saw a slight correction, and recycling enterprises became more cautious in procurement, leaving quotes largely unchanged. Suppliers also held back from selling and adopted a wait-and-see stance, keeping scrap prices stable with transactions at a stalemate. Approaching the weekend, scrap prices continued to hold steady, with wait-and-see sentiment still present in the market and no significant improvement in trading activity. Dysprosium and terbium scrap remained stable throughout the week, while gadolinium and holmium prices also saw no notable adjustments. Overall, Pr-Nd scrap prices edged up slightly this week before stabilizing, with suppliers holding back and waiting while recycling enterprises cautiously chased higher prices only for essential needs, resulting in stagnant actual transactions. In the short term, with the tug-of-war between upstream and downstream persisting, Pr-Nd scrap prices are expected to move sideways within a narrow range.
