Feirui De and Jieqing Technology Reach Strategic Cooperation, Plan to Promote 1,000 Hydrogen-Powered UAVs Within 3 Years

Published: Sep 2, 2026 10:22

On August 31, the strategic cooperation signing ceremony between Jiangsu Feiruide Technology Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Hydrogen Propulsion Technology Co., Ltd. was held in Shanghai. Feiruide Chairman Lu Jun and Hydrogen Propulsion General Manager Lu Bingbing jointly witnessed the signing. Feiruide Technical Director and Hydrogen Intelligent General Manager Wang He and Hydrogen Propulsion Deputy General Manager Zeng Jiajie signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties.

Comprehensive In-Depth Cooperation to Jointly Expand the Hydrogen-Powered UAV Market

Following this strategic cooperation, the two parties will carry out comprehensive in-depth collaboration on hydrogen-powered UAVs. At the R&D level, both parties will fully leverage their respective technical strengths to enhance power system adaptation, complete aircraft integration, flight test verification, and product iteration optimization for hydrogen-powered UAVs. At the market level, both parties will jointly expand the long-endurance UAV application market in areas such as inspection, surveying and mapping, and emergency response, focusing on real-world deployment scenarios, planning to promote 1,000 hydrogen-powered UAVs within three years. At the ecosystem development level, both parties will establish a long-term mutual empowerment mechanism and actively promote the formulation of relevant standards for hydrogen-powered UAVs and power systems, empowering more partners to jointly build a hydrogen aviation ecosystem.

Feiruide: Full Industry Chain Capability in Hydrogen-Powered UAV Complete Aircraft R&D and Manufacturing

As one of the few enterprises in China with capabilities in both small and large hydrogen-powered UAV complete aircraft R&D and manufacturing, Feiruide possesses full industry chain service capabilities covering core components, intelligent platforms, and customized complete aircraft, committed to providing clean aviation solutions that break endurance limits for industrial and specialized scenarios. Its latest product, the FR50 hydrogen-powered UAV, is equipped with Hydrogen Propulsion's fuel cell system, benchmarked against the high-standard safety management requirements of general aviation, and won the championship at the "First National Hydrogen-Powered UAV Application Challenge."

Going forward, leveraging its long endurance and environmental tolerance, the FR50 will be deployed in demonstration applications for cargo transportation. It has already completeda 2-hour, 20 kg payload test, adapting to various field operation conditions including high and low temperatures, complex terrain, and ultra-long range, meeting the needs of large-scale, long-duration continuous operations such as power corridor inspection, forest fire prevention, border patrol, and maritime cruising.

Hydrogen Propulsion: Extending Automotive-Grade Fuel Cell Technology to the Low-Altitude Sector

For a long time, Hydrogen Propulsion has relied on its industry-unique HPDP fuel cell product development system, focusing on creating automotive-grade, high-performance, high-reliability fuel cell products, with application models covering essentially the full spectrum of fuel cell vehicle types. At the same time, through full-chain technology accumulation, Hydrogen Propulsion has newly launched low-power fuel cell products, precisely meeting the lightweight, high-reliability, and high-efficiency demands of the industrial UAV niche market, achieving new breakthroughs in inspection UAVs, cargo UAVs, and other new scenarios in China, Germany, and other markets.

At the signing ceremony, Feiruide Chairman Lu Jun stated that the hydrogen-powered UAV market has boundless prospects, and both parties will take this as a new starting point to continuously drive hydrogen-powered UAVs from "able to fly" to "able to be used" in areas such as technological innovation, market deployment, and standard formulation, promoting the deep integration of hydrogen energy and the low-altitude economy. Hydrogen Propulsion General Manager Lu Bingbing stated that he looks forward to both parties taking this signing as an opportunity to jointly create more market-competitive hydrogen-powered UAVs, challenge the goal of "flying farther, flying longer, and flying more stably," promote ecosystem integration and mutual benefit, and jointly explore new directions for the high-quality development of the hydrogen energy industry.
