US energy storage firm NeoVolta announced that its subsidiary NeoVolta Power has signed a five-year strategic supply and manufacturing agreement with South Korean battery maker SK On. From 2027 to 2031, SK On will supply 9GWh of US-made LFP battery cells for NeoVolta Power energy storage systems, with the deal estimated at around KRW 1.5 trillion (about USD 1.1 billion). Under an additional framework, SK On will supply another 9GWh of LFP cells, with NeoVolta Power producing storage PACKs to sell back to SK On, bringing the combined scale to up to 18GWh. SK On becomes the preferred cell supplier for NeoVolta Power LFP pouch-based storage products, as the two sides build a US domestic manufacturing platform serving utility, C&I and AI data center markets.
