[SMM Steel] Cost Support and Post-Holiday Expectations Lift Turkish HRC and CRC Prices

[Turkey] Turkish hot-rolled coil (HRC) prices edged higher, while cold-rolled coil (CRC) held steady under rising feed costs and policy constraints. For HRC, supported by higher Chinese coking coal costs, elevated Indian export offers to Europe, and expectations of a post-holiday European recovery, mills continued to test higher price levels. Domestic HRC ex-works prices edged up to 585–590 USD/tonne EXW; export quotes rose by 5 USD/tonne to 585 USD/tonne FOB; and import quotes advanced to 545 USD/tonne CFR. For CRC, elevated HRC costs eroded the export competitiveness of Turkish material, while EU CBAM considerations and anti-dumping duties continued to weigh on producers, keeping domestic and export quotes flat at 680 USD/tonne EXW and 675 USD/tonne FOB, respectively.
