[SMM Flash News] Avaada Plans US$1 Billion Zero-CBAM Green Industrial Campus in India

Published: Aug 25, 2026 23:05
India's Avaada Group has signed an MoU with the Haryana Enterprises Promotion Centre to develop a 300-acre Zero-CBAM Green Industrial Campus in Hisar, Haryana, with a proposed investment of around INR 100 billion (US$1.05 billion). The project is expected to create more than 5,000 jobs and will be powered by reliable, traceable, round-the-clock renewable energy. The campus is designed to support energy-intensive and export-oriented manufacturers in reducing their carbon footprint and complying with international carbon regulations, particularly the European Union's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). It will combine renewable power, industrial infrastructure and green manufacturing within an integrated industrial ecosystem. Under the agreement, the Haryana government will facilitate industrial-park status, infrastructure, utilities, incentives and expedited regulatory approvals. Avaada and the state government also plan to seek international investors and technology partners, including through investment roadshows in Europe, Japan and South Korea.
