[Apple May Launch New Mac Mini Before September Event]

According to well-known tech journalist Mark Gurman, sources say Apple (AAPL.O) is preparing to launch its first new Mac mini in nearly two years. The new Mac mini could be unveiled within the next few days, possibly ahead of its September product event. Apple has tested versions powered by both the M5 and M6 processors. This upgrade comes as demand for the current Mac mini has surged, making it a popular tool for running AI applications locally. A shortage of memory chips has also made it more difficult for Apple to maintain its inventory of the product. The Mac mini may be the last new product launched under CEO Tim Cook’s tenure. It is also an important product in Apple’s commitment to bring more manufacturing operations back to the US. Earlier this year, Apple pledged to begin production of the Mac mini in Houston later in 2026. Cook visited the factory this month alongside Trump administration officials, as US domestic manufacturing has been a key part of the Trump administration’s policy agenda.

On August 19, Tibet Summit Resources released its 2026 interim report. During the reporting period, operations at Tajikistan-based Tazhong Mining remained generally stable. Jinhui Mining Reports Increased Zinc Output, Decline in Lead and Silver Production in H1 2026

On August 7, Jinhui Mining released its 2026 interim report. The company produced 37,000 tonnes of zinc concentrate in January-June 2026, up 11.79% YoY, while lead concentrate production decreased 1.89% YoY to 10,600 tonnes. Associated silver production declined 1.93% YoY to 13.9 tonnes. In addition, construction of the Jiangluo mining area's 3 million tpy lead-zinc ore beneficiation project is underway, with RMB 170 million invested during the reporting period. Of this, the Xiejia'gou 1.5 million tpy concentrator project has received a cumulative investment of RMB 866 million, funded by raised capital and internal funds. [Xiaomi Xuanjie O3 Officially Announced Support for LPDDR6, ChangXin Memory as Domestic Memory Partner]

On August 24, Xiaomi officially released the Xuanjie O3 chip. The new-generation Xuanjie O3 chip is the world's first flagship mobile processor (SoC) to support LPDDR6 memory chips. Industry sources confirmed that China's leading memory manufacturer, ChangXin Technology, is Xiaomi's core partner for LPDDR6 memory in the Xuanjie O3. As early as March this year, there were reports that ChangXin's LPDDR6 had been sent to key clients for sampling; in early August, market information indicated that ChangXin's LPDDR6 was nearing the end of verification. The launch of the Xuanjie O3 chip marked that domestically produced low-power memory had officially entered the world's top tier.
