Today, spot prices for #1 copper cathode in North China against the front-month contract were reported at a discount of 40 yuan/mt to a premium of 110 yuan/mt, with the average premium at 35 yuan/mt, an increase of 30 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. The average transaction price was 108,225 yuan/mt, up 465 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. Futures stayed high, with some downstream just-in-need demand released, and purchase willingness recovered somewhat. Suppliers' willingness to sell remained largely stable, and market trading activity ticked up, driving spot premiums in North China slightly higher. Today, the purchase sentiment for copper cathode in North China was 1.19, up 0.02 from the previous trading day, and the selling sentiment was 2.75, down 0.01 from the previous trading day. ().
