On August 18, Run Hydrogen Technology held the "Dual Engines Converge · Hydrogen Illuminates the Future" cooperation signing and AEM electrolyser launch event at its Foshan site. Representatives from Runshihua Holding Group, the Run Hydrogen Technology team, Germany's Enapter, and related industry chain partners participated in the event, witnessing this important period in the hydrogen equipment manufacturing sector.
During the event, guests visited the Run Hydrogen Technology production site to gain in-depth insights into the technical principles, manufacturing processes, and application directions of AEM and PEM electrolysers and system equipment, and exchanged views on the industrialisation of hydrogen equipment.
A representative from the Nanjing Jiangbei New Area stated that this cooperation reflects a key trend in China's hydrogen equipment industry, moving from technology catch-up to independent improvement. By introducing advanced international AEM technology and combining it with China's manufacturing capabilities and industry chain advantages, both parties will drive continuous breakthroughs in hydrogen equipment performance enhancement, large-scale production, and expansion into markets outside China.
Dr. Jürgen Laakmann, CEO of Enapter AG in Germany, stated that for green hydrogen to achieve large-scale application, electrolyser technology with high efficiency, low cost, flexible design, and standardised production capacity is required. Enapter has long focused on AEM electrolysis technology R&D, while Run Hydrogen Technology has advantages in the Chinese market, engineering manufacturing, supply chain systems, and industrialisation implementation. The cooperation between the two parties will achieve a deep integration of technology and manufacturing capabilities.
It is understood that the AEM technology pathway, combining high efficiency and low-cost potential, is one of the key directions for green hydrogen equipment development. Through this cooperation, Enapter's technical expertise and Run Hydrogen Technology's local industrial capabilities complement each other, accelerating the large-scale application of advanced electrolyser technology.
Run Hydrogen Technology stated that the company has long been engaged in the R&D, production, and sales of water electrolysis hydrogen production equipment and systems based on the PEM and AEM membrane technology pathways. This strategic cooperation and the domestic launch of AEM electrolysers mark a critical step forward in the enterprise's coordinated development of membrane technology pathways and commercial application promotion. In the future, the two parties plan to jointly build an advanced hydrogen equipment manufacturing system, integrating China's manufacturing strengths with European technology advantages to expand the global green hydrogen market.
This cooperation is not only an industrial collaboration between Chinese and European hydrogen enterprises but also an important practice in the internationalisation of hydrogen equipment. As the global energy transition continues to advance, Run Hydrogen Technology will further accelerate its hydrogen equipment layout outside China, enhance the industrial competitiveness of water electrolysis hydrogen production equipment, and drive green hydrogen technology towards higher efficiency and lower cost.
