[SMM Analysis] Nickel Sulphate Imports from South Korea, Finland, and Other Countries Declined in July; Net Imports Fell

According to the latest data from China Customs, China's total nickel sulphate imports in July 2026 stood at 4,310 mt in metal content, down 34% MoM but up 16% YoY. China's nickel sulphate exports were 115 mt in metal content, down 25% MoM and 21% YoY. In July 2026, China's net nickel sulphate imports totaled 4,195 mt in metal content, down 35% MoM but up 17% YoY.

By country, exports to Japan declined this month, dragging down total exports. Among imports, volumes from Indonesia, South Korea, Finland, and other countries all dropped significantly, leading to a notable decrease in total imports. The decline in net imports of nickel salts this month was broadly in line with previous expectations.
