[Zinc Prices Pull Back in Mid-Week; Downstream Buy on Dips]: This week, spot premiums in Tianjin edged up, up 10 yuan/mt WoW. As of this Friday, China's regular brands quoted discounts of 30-150 yuan/mt against the 2609 contract, high-grade brands quoted premiums of 40-50 yuan/mt against the 2609 contract, and the Tianjin market quoted a discount of 65 yuan/mt against the Shanghai market.

SMM August 21 news: This week, spot premiums in Tianjin edged up, rising by 10 yuan/mt WoW. As of Friday, domestic regular brands reported a discount of 30-150 yuan/mt against the 2609 contract, while premium brands reported a premium of 40-50 yuan/mt against the 2609 contract. Tianjin market reported a discount of around 65 yuan/mt against Shanghai market. Zinc prices pulled back slightly mid-week, with some downstream buyers making limited point-based purchases or mainly relying on future point-based pricing. With the export window open, traders were active in trading, and shipment premiums edged up slightly. However, consumption in Tianjin remained sluggish, and spot premiums are expected to remain largely stable next week.
