[SMM PV Flash News] Maitian Energy Joins Hands with Infineon to Pioneer the Implementation of SMD All-Silicon-Carbonisation Solutions!

Published: Aug 20, 2026 14:19

Recently, Infineon Technologies and Maitian Energy officially announced that they would deepen their cooperative relationship. Maitian Energy became the first partner to adopt Infineon's SMD full silicon carbide solution in the solar PV and ESS sectors, and was the first to receive the authorization to use the "Enabled by Infineon" logo. The two parties will jointly release innovative achievements and work together to promote the application of innovative technologies in the residential ESS field.

Infineon pioneered the introduction of a surface-mount product series based on the new second-generation CoolSiC™ MOSFET 1200 V chip, featuring a new top-cooling Q-DPAK package. Since its launch, the Infineon CoolSiC™ MOSFET 1200 V G2 product has been widely recognized in the industry for its outstanding performance in system energy efficiency. The product effectively reduces switching losses through trench gate design and rigorous production control; at the same time, with enhanced .XT diffusion soldering technology, it improves heat dissipation efficiency, successfully achieving a dual improvement in overall system efficiency and reliability.

Compared with traditional bottom-cooling solutions, the new top-cooling Q-DPAK package supports better PCB layout, helps reduce the impact of parasitic parameters and stray inductance, and provides superior thermal management capability.

Silver Prices V-Shaped Reversal This Week, Spot Discounts Continued to Widen [SMM Silver Weekly Review]
[SMM Silver Weekly Review: Silver Prices Saw a V-Shaped Reversal This Week, with Spot Discounts Continuing to Widen] Silver prices fell first and then rose this week. Mid-week, they plunged sharply, dragged down by a global bond sell-off and a surge in US Treasury yield; subsequently, the Treasury’s expanded buybacks triggered a sharp drop in the US dollar, and silver prices rebounded strongly to regain lost ground. Spot market discounts continued to widen, with insufficient downstream buying interest, forming a divergent pattern of “rising prices, widening discounts.” Inventory buildup totaled 53 mt, while ETF holdings edged down. In the short term, prices were expected to see wild swings; watch the US Treasury yield trend.
