[SMM Computing Power News] H800 short-term monthly rent 85,000, telecom operators just adjusted prices in August

SMM learned that an operator in east China reported having 2-3 spot H800 eight-card servers on hand, with a short-term temporary rental quote of 85,000 yuan/unit/month, including operation and maintenance. Long-term rental terms are negotiated on a case-by-case basis, with a minimum lease of one year, and the price is linked to the cluster size. The operator stated that prices were just adjusted in August and are not expected to change again in the short term, while the overall trend this year has been upward. SMM previously collected H800 market price levels of approximately 72,000-74,000 yuan/month. This operator’s short-term quote is about 11,000-13,000 yuan/month higher, reflecting factors such as short-term lease premium and operation and maintenance costs. H800 short-term rental quotes see limited demand; lessees bear idle period costs, making such quotes significantly higher than long-term contract price benchmarks.
