Talleres y Aceros S.A. (TYASA) has started up its new Danieli-supplied special bar quality (SBQ) plant in Ixtaczoquitlán, Mexico, with the installation comprising a hot rolling mill featuring a four-pass, four-roll draw sizing Danieli sizing block, plus straightening, peeling lines, and a water treatment plant, all now in operation. Cold commissioning began in April 2026, the plant rolled its first hot billet on May 25, and the first bar was processed on July 6, confirming dimensional accuracy and stable rolling parameters. Danieli received the provisional acceptance certificate on August 4, and the plant has now entered its performance testing phase. A new drawing line and heat treatment line are still in the final stages of construction.
