On August 17, the average SMM price of #1 refined nickel was 129,600 yuan/mt, up 1,800 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. Spot premiums, the average for Jinchuan #1 refined nickel was 1,400 yuan/mt, unchanged from the previous trading day, and the range for China’s mainstream brands of electrodeposited nickel was -100-500 yuan/mt.
