[SSAB Reports Higher Q2 Profit on Stronger Pricing and Shipments]

Published: Aug 10, 2026 10:44
Swedish steelmaker SSAB presented second-quarter 2026 results on July 22, reporting operating profit of 2,695 million Swedish kronor, up from 2,140 million kronor a year earlier. Sales rose to 27,489 million kronor from 25,631 million kronor, with net income of 2,081 million kronor compared with 1,854 million kronor in the prior-year period. The company attributed the improvement mainly to higher prices and higher shipment volumes, which were partly offset by higher logistics and energy costs. The results were presented via a webcast briefing to investors and analysts. No structural or capacity changes were announced alongside the earnings release.
