China NEV Wholesale Sales Up 23% YoY in July 2026, Showing Signs of Recovery

According to the Passenger NEV Producer Wholesale Sales Brief Report for July 2026 released by the China Automobile Dealers Association, the estimated wholesale volume of passenger NEVs by domestic automakers reached 1.47 million units, down 1% MoM and up 23% YoY. The YoY growth rate hit the highest level among all months of 2026, signaling the initial signs of recovery in the domestic NEV sector.

Lidao New Energy's $400M Battery Foil Project in Anhui Gains EIA Approval, Aims for 50,000 MT Annual Capacity

The Ecological Environment Bureau of Wuhe County, Bengbu City, Anhui Province, has formally approved the Environmental Impact Report Form for the new battery aluminum foil expansion project of Lidao New Energy (Anhui) Co., Ltd., marking the successful EIA approval of the project. The project is located in Chengnan Industrial Park of Wuhe County, with a total investment of 400 million yuan. Its main construction content includes building No. 2 and No. 3 aluminum foil workshops, and purchasing advanced production equipment such as aluminum foil rolling mills, slitting machines, and precision cutting machines. Upon completion, the project will form an annual production capacity of 50,000 mt of battery aluminum foil, effectively expanding Lidao New Materials' capacity in the field of new energy battery current collector materials.
