[SMM Computing Power Flash] Operator H100 bare metal acquisition price 63,000-64,000 yuan, excluding cabinet, electricity, and networking

Published: Aug 7, 2026 17:55
SMM understands that a certain operator currently has an acquisition budget of 63,000-64,000 yuan/month for H100 eight-card bare metal servers, excluding cabinet electricity and maintenance, requiring networking, and the equipment must be moved into its own data center, with scales ranging from 32 to 128 units acceptable. The operator's external rental quotation is about 65,000 yuan/month, and multiple target customers are already waiting. Meanwhile, mainstream transaction prices for H100 in the market including cabinet electricity have reached 75,000-78,000 yuan/month, and a publicly listed firm engaged in cross-industry computing has reported a three-year fixed price of 75,000 yuan/month. The operator's self-owned data center electricity costs and low acquisition price create a gap of approximately 10,000-15,000 yuan/month compared with the market price including cabinet electricity.

[SMM Computing Power Flash] A100-80G Purchase Price Confirmed at 1.235 Million Yuan, A800 Has Surged Over 70% Since May
SMM learned that an IDC service provider in Hangzhou acquired multiple A100-80G eight-GPU servers this week at a transaction price of 1.235 million yuan per unit, up from the previously budgeted market price of 1.2 million yuan per unit. The service provider reported that the same A800 model had an acquisition price of only about 700,000 yuan per unit in May, but has now risen to over 1.2 million yuan per unit, an increase of over 70%, with a cumulative increase of 60-70% since the beginning of the year. The monthly rental for the A100-80G remains at 31,000-34,000 yuan per unit, while the A800 monthly rental is 35,000-36,000 yuan per unit, with a relatively small price spread between the two. Some large cloud providers have recently been decommissioning A100 equipment that has been in service for 5-6 years, but demand in the second-hand market persists. For second-hand A100s, a three-year warranty requires backing by a maintenance provider, but currently maintenance providers can offer a maximum of one-year coverage. SMM also learned that the service provider has a relatively high proportion of colocation, estimated to exceed the proportion of self-owned machines.

SMM has learned that the current monthly rental floor price for RTX 4090 8-card servers has dropped to 6,900 yuan per server. Some channels in Shanghai, eager to lease out to avoid idle periods, have quoted this price, while previous transaction prices were around 7,000 yuan per server. Intermediary quoted prices generally range from 7,600 to 8,000 yuan per server, with intermediary fees of about 200 yuan per server per month and a single-tier markup of about 700 to 800 yuan. A platform under a publicly listed firm with cross-sector computing business quotes 7,200 yuan per server for the 512M memory version, while state-owned enterprise channels quote 7,500 yuan per server, though internal long-term agreements may be negotiated to below 7,000 yuan. In the 4090 rental market, intermediary layers are thick; the price spread between first-hand self-operated data center quotes and intermediary listing prices reaches 700 to 1,100 yuan per server. Buyers directly connecting with first-hand resources can significantly reduce costs.
