Construction Started on Solid-State Hydrogen Storage Equipment Project at Shaanxi Hydrogen Energy Quality Technology Innovation Base

Recently, Shaanxi 1908 New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. commenced construction of its solid-state hydrogen storage equipment R&D and production base project in Building B2 of the Shaanxi Hydrogen Energy Quality Technology Innovation Base. The project's factory building has a floor area of approximately 2,000 m², covering standard industrial factory and office areas, and is planned to enter the trial production phase in August 2026.

The project will focus on the layout of solid-state hydrogen storage equipment R&D and production, with an emphasis on building a production line for room-temperature and atmospheric-pressure metal-based composite solid-state hydrogen storage materials and a product line for room-temperature and atmospheric-pressure solid-state hydrogen power supplies, complemented by functions for experiments, testing, inspection and detection. The project aims to create a comprehensive industrial base integrating production, R&D, and testing, accelerating the shift of solid-state hydrogen storage technology from laboratory research to large-scale application.

As the first quality technology integrated innovation platform for the entire hydrogen industry chain in north-west China, the Shaanxi Hydrogen Energy Quality Technology Innovation Base focuses on production, storage, transportation, refuelling, and usage segments, striving to build a “one-stop” quality infrastructure platform to support the hydrogen industry's development. It will provide enterprises with comprehensive quality technology services covering the entire industry chain and full life cycle, while cultivating the capability to generate original innovations in quality technology.

The commencement of this project marks new progress in Shaanxi 1908 New Energy's solid-state hydrogen storage industrialization layout. Once operational, the project will inject new momentum into the innovative development of Shaanxi's hydrogen energy industry, help the region strengthen its first-mover advantage in the national hydrogen energy industry competition, and contribute to achieving the “dual carbon” goals.

Shaanxi 1908 New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. stated that it will take the project construction as an opportunity to continue advancing the R&D and industrialization of solid-state hydrogen storage technology, providing support for the construction of China's green and low-carbon modern energy system.
