1000 kV UHV Project Completed in Yantai-Weihai, Boosting Shandong's Power Grid and New Energy Transmission

On July 27, the 1000 kV UHV project in Shandong's Yantai-Weihai area was completed. It is understood that the project includes the construction of a new 1000 kV Haiyang West switch station. The 1000 kV Changle substation and Gaoxiang substation will be expanded, and two 1000-kV lines from Haiyang West to Changle and Haiyang West to Gaoxiang will be built, with a total length of 1,197 kilometers, and 1,963 new towers will be built, passing through Yantai, Qingdao, Rizhao, Weifang, and Linyi. The Yantai-Weihai UHV Project is a national strategic project and a major project to serve the power transmission of the new energy base in Yantai and Weihai and the commissioning of the Haiyang Xin'an nuclear power plant.
