The Queensland Government has launched its Critical Minerals Future 2026–30 strategy, backed by A$146 million, to accelerate the extraction, processing and export of critical minerals. The plan aims to expand downstream processing, refining and manufacturing capacity, strengthen supply chain resilience, and position Queensland as a globally competitive supplier of strategic minerals. The government said the initiative is expected to attract new investment, create long-term regional jobs, and enhance Australia's role in supplying critical minerals for advanced technologies, renewable energy and other strategic industries.
