Low Water supply at Rhine River reduced Thyssenkrupp Steel Output

Published: Jul 22, 2026 17:59
The low-water situation on Rhine River affecting Thysennkrupp's Duisburg Plant, especially it affects the raw material supply, not the customer supply. Low water affects the raw material supply becuase usually vessels are used to operate it. From the customer supply, this plant doesnt have any porblem as they adjust their metal production accordingly and the finished products are transported by road or rail. Although it seems fine, but this create bullish sentiment in the market and several German steelmakers reported the problem in raw material supply beside this plant.
