[New Energy Brief] China's exports of unwrought cobalt surged 36% month-on-month in June 2026

China exported approximately 503 tons of unwrought cobalt in June 2026, up 36% month-on-month and down 46% year-on-year. By destination, the top three export markets were the United States, Chinese Taiwan and the Netherlands, with shipments of 132 tons, 125 tons and 66 tons respectively.

The average export price of unwrought cobalt stood at USD 59,579 per ton in June 2026, climbing 11.56% month-on-month. Cumulative exports from January to June 2026 reached 2,664 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 76%.
