[SMM PV Flash] National Third Batch of "Desert-Gobi-Wasteland" Base Supporting Project Put into Operation
On July 16, the 500 kV transmission project for the million-kilowatt desert wind-solar-storage base in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia, was successfully connected to the Tongliao Jinsha 500 kV substation and officially completed and put into operation. This project is a key supporting transmission line for the third batch of national "desert-Gobi-wasteland" wind and solar power bases.
After the project is put into operation, it can fully guarantee the grid connection and consumption of the million-kilowatt-level wind-solar-storage new energy project, delivering approximately 2 billion kWh of clean electricity annually, significantly enhancing the regional power grid's transmission dispatching and resource complementarity and mutual support capabilities, achieving large-scale development, integrated transmission, and efficient utilization of local wind and solar resources, and steadily transforming the advantages of desert resources into advantages of green development.
