China's Aluminum Scrap Imports Decline 16.9% YoY in June 2026, Third Consecutive Monthly Drop

[SMM Flash] According to the latest customs data, China's aluminum scrap imports in June 2026 were about 133,000 mt, down 16.9% YoY and down 12.5% MoM, marking the third consecutive month of decline. Cumulative imports from January to June 2026 reached 982,000 mt. By source country, in June, China's aluminum scrap imports mainly came from Thailand, the UK, Japan, the US, Australia, and others, with Thailand accounting for 20.2% of the total imports.
