The notable rise in August output has led many market participants to speculate whether the market has entered the traditional peak‑demand season of "Golden September and Silver October", and that stocking demand for sodium antimonate from the photovoltaic glass sector is likely to pick up gradually.

According to SMM assessment, China’s antimony ingot output (converted from antimony ingots, crude antimony, cathode antimony, etc.) in August 2026 fell by approximately 9% month‑on‑month compared with the previous month, showing a downward trend. As for the decline in antimony output in August, some market participants regard it as a normal development. After all, judging from customs data, the sharp drop in overseas antimony ore imports in July is bound to translate into a reduction in antimony ingot production.
