Aluminum Curtain Wall Material Consumption Up 3.2% in H1 2026, Driven by Public and Commercial Projects

According to data released by the Aluminum Doors, Windows and Curtain Walls Branch of the China Construction Metal Structure Association, the consumption of aluminum panel curtain wall materials such as aluminum veneer and aluminum-plastic composite panels in the construction sector was up 3.2% YoY from January to June 2026. Although demand from the property side remained sluggish, demand for aluminum panel curtain walls from public buildings, commercial complexes, and urban renewal projects provided solid support for it.

It is reported that the Yantai-Weihai UHV transmission line project starts at the 1000 kV Haiyang West substation and ends at the 10 kV Gaoxiang substation.The newly built line is 2 × 260.116 kilometers, with 914 towers, passing through 11 counties (districts) in Yantai, Qingdao, Weifang, Rizhao, and Linyi. The line crosses 9 high-speed railways, 18 electrified railways, and 389 10 kV or higher power lines.
