[SMM Computing Power Daily] High-End Computing Whole Machine Quotation Surpasses 14 Million, Two-Month Surge of About 100%

Published: Jul 16, 2026 18:00
July 16: A parts supplier quoted 14.5 million yuan for 16 units of spot high-end computing machines, compared with just over 7 million yuan two months ago, representing an increase of about 100%; 250 units of 910B are in demand, but only 20 units are clearly available for supply; monthly rental for a batch of Fujian 4090 eight-card units is 7,500 yuan; server DDR5 memory quotes are out, and the market is oversupplied.

SMM, July 16:

High-end compute server quotations exceed 14 million yuan, almost doubling in two months

SMM learned that on July 16, an AI compute server components distributor quoted 16 brand-new spot units of a high-end compute server (Chilwee, 3T version) with a three-year warranty at 14.5 million yuan. The distributor admitted, "It was just over seven million two months ago," representing a roughly 100% increase over the two-month period. SMM previously noted that on July 13, a second-hand GPU dealer reported that high-end compute servers had climbed from approximately 9 million yuan to 13 million yuan, "similar to stock trading," and that incoming units were absorbed within a week. The current 14.5 million yuan quotation marks a new high.

910B2 domestic computing: 50 unit demand, but only 20 unit supply available

SMM learned that on July 16, supply-demand dynamics for the 910B2 saw buyers proposing a lease request for 50 units, with a minimum one-year lease and a requirement for same-cluster deployment. A carrier on the supply side indicated, "Around 20 units should be definitely available, and the shortfall might require some internal reallocation," while also asking the buyer if their application had been adapted to the 910B2. The buyer requested that availability and pricing be confirmed first. SMM's ongoing tracking shows the 910B2 has long faced tepid sales — with a quotation of approximately 13,500 yuan/unit/month, actual transactions have been difficult, and downstream largely adopts a wait-and-see stance. Whether this 50-unit demand materializes depends heavily on the supplier's ability to pool resources and whether pricing falls within an acceptable range for the buyer.

Fujian RTX 4090 8-card server bulk monthly lease at 7,500 yuan, deployable for DeepSeek V4 Flash

SMM learned that a batch of 4090 8-card GPU servers in Fujian Province was recently released into the leasing market, with a monthly lease quotation of 7,500 yuan, ample supply, and flexible leasing options. Configuration-wise, these are equipped with dual Intel Xeon Platinum 8352V CPUs, 512 GB memory, 8× RTX 4090 24G, four 3.84TB data drives, and dual 25GE NICs. This specification supports DeepSeek V4 Flash model deployment. Market participants noted that this price is mid-range in the current 4090 leasing market — overall monthly lease quotations for 8-card 4090 units fall within a range of 6,800-7,600 yuan, making 7,500 yuan a relatively high-end offer.

Server DDR5 memory quotations emerge, market in oversupply

SMM learned that on July 16, a server components wholesaler simultaneously quoted tax-inclusive prices for multiple DDR5 memory modules: Samsung 96GB 5600MHz at 20,700 yuan/stick (inventory of 20 sticks); SK 32GB 1R×4 5600MHz at 7,600 yuan/stick; SK 32GB 2R×8 5600MHz at 7,900 yuan/stick; Micron 64GB 4800MHz at 14,100 yuan/stick (inventory of 14 sticks). Market feedback indicates the server memory segment is currently in an overall state of oversupply, starkly contrasting with the tightness on the GPU side. As a key supporting component in computing infrastructure, the weak price signal of memory helps reduce supporting costs in overall system procurement.

SMM Analysis: The current computing market is undergoing pronounced stratification and divergence. On the high-end computing side, whole-system prices have risen to the current 14.5 million yuan, with the supply-demand gap continuing to widen with no signs of easing in the near term. For domestic computing, 910B2 supply-demand matching still faces structural frictions — scattered resources, cluster integration difficulties, and pricing and adaptation issues remain obstacles to deal closure. For computing like the 4090, supply is ample and pricing is mild, presenting a loose supply-demand environment. On the supporting components side, server memory is understood to have potentially entered an oversupply phase. Supply-demand rhythms across the industry chain are diverging.

SMM learned that on July 16, a server components wholesaler quoted tax-inclusive prices for multiple server DDR5 memory modules: Samsung 96GB 5600MHz at 20,700 yuan, inventory of 20 units with uniform part number; SK 32GB 1R×4 5600MHz at 7,600 yuan; SK 32GB 2R×8 5600MHz at 7,900 yuan; Micron 64GB 4800MHz at 14,100 yuan, inventory of 14 units. Market participants noted that the overall server memory market was oversupplied, in stark contrast to the tight supply of GPUs. As a key supporting component for computing power infrastructure, memory price trends can provide reference for calculating overall procurement costs.

[SMM Computing Power Daily] High-End Computing Power Server Procurement Peaks at 14 Million, Payback Period Extends to Over Five Years
July 15: The procurement price for high-end computing power complete machines hit a peak of 14 million yuan. Based on current leasing market conditions, it is estimated that recouping the investment within five years will be difficult, and existing high-priced assets face the risk of accelerated depreciation. The monthly rental for the A100-40G rose to 12,000 yuan, up about 36% from early July. The annual package rental of 42,000 yuan for the H20-141G has gained market acceptance. Price differentiation among various card models intensified, and the pace of downstream market entry turned more cautious.

SMM learns that on July 15, a quotation from an IDC service provider in Sichuan showed that the bare metal monthly rental for an A100-40G eight-card server was quoted at 12,000 yuan, representing a price difference of about 36% compared to the cloud server market price of 8,800 yuan/month. During the same period, the A100-80G was quoted at 35,000–38,000 yuan/month, maintaining the upper end of the price range seen in early July; the 4090 eight-card monthly rental was quoted at 8,000 yuan/month, positioned in the neutral-to-upper part of the market range; the price of the Huawei Ascend 910B2 remained unchanged from the previous inquiry, still at 20,000 yuan/month.
