[Sheets & Plates] Today, HRC and other sheet & plate export prices rose by $1-2/mt day-on-day, with HRC transaction prices at $488-494/mt. China’s futures market has been rallying continuously. Market feedback indicates that as prices outside China remain stable, markets outside China did not see a significant increase in inquiries due to the rise in China’s futures prices; for some varieties, as price increases were modest, a small amount of transactions was released.

[SMM Steel] India Alang Ship-Breaking Scrap Holds Steady on Tight Supply

[India] Alang HMS 80:20 ship-breaking scrap remained stable at USD 354/tonne EXW, as limited processed scrap supply offset cautious mill buying. Billet and rebar prices in Gujarat edged higher, although construction demand stayed weak. In Mandi Gobindgarh, scrap fell to around USD 352/tonne DAP, with procurement remaining largely need-based.
