Published: Jul 10, 2026 15:51
[India] Alang HMS 80:20 ship-breaking scrap rose to 357 USD/tonne EXW as monsoon rainfall disrupted cutting and processing, tightening finished scrap supply. However, weak downstream steel demand kept mills on need-based procurement. Bhavnagar billet fell to around 419 USD/tonne DAP, while Mandi Gobindgarh scrap eased to 357 USD/tonne DAP, limiting further upside.
