[SMM North China Copper Cathode Market] During the week, as the price center of copper pulled back, demand in the North China copper cathode market recovered. However, downstream users mostly engaged in price fixing, while the pace of cargo pick-up was relatively slow. In addition, as the delivery date approached, the northern region showed a pattern of large spot discounts, prompting some supply to move southward, which improved the supply-demand imbalance in the North China market. Spot premiums continued to narrow.
