This week (5.29-6.4), the enamelled wire industry's machine utilization rate rose 0.87 percentage points WoW to 75.20%, while weekly order-taking volume pulled back slightly by 0.27% WoW. Copper prices' center shifted upward during the week, notably suppressing downstream purchasing enthusiasm. New orders in the industry shrank slightly, but enterprises' earlier orders on hand supported production, driving utilization higher WoW. Affected by increased production volume and weak cargo pick-up follow-through, days of finished product inventories rose to 9.59 days, with inventory pressure increasing. Overall, weakening orders combined with elevated inventory constraints on subsequent production lead SMM to forecast the enamelled wire industry's machine utilization rate to pull back to 74.87% next week.
