Huizhou Approves Environmental Impact Report for 40,000-Ton Battery Recycling Project

The Huizhou Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment issued a public notice for the environmental impact report acceptance of a Guangdong company’s annual 40,000-ton waste power battery anode graphite, aluminum-plastic composite film, and separator recycling project. With a total investment of 116 million yuan, the facility will be built in Boluo County, Huizhou, Guangdong Province. The project is designed to recycle 40,000 tons of waste power battery materials per year, and will regenerate 20,000 tons of waste battery anode graphite, 10,000 tons of aluminum-plastic film, and 10,000 tons of separator annually. The notice represents a step forward in the environmental approval process for this large-scale battery recycling initiative.
