[Solar PV: Airengy to Acquire Majority Stake in Green-Go, Expanding into Israel’s Agrivoltaics Market]

Published: Apr 27, 2026 09:24
Airengy has announced plans to acquire a majority stake in Green-Go, a move designed to secure a foothold in Israel’s solar EPC market. The partnership combines Airengy’s expertise in compressed air and battery energy storage with Green-Go’s specialized experience in agrivoltaics and complex rooftop installations. The acquisition aligns with the recent formalization of Israel’s agrivoltaics regulatory framework, which establishes a two-track permitting process and a 30% solar coverage limit on cultivated land. By leveraging this new regulatory certainty, the companies aim to accelerate deployment in a market that has been maturing since its initial 100 MW agrivoltaics pilot program launched in 2022.

[Solar PV: Resilicon’s Dutch Polysilicon Facility Named Strategic Project Under EU Net Zero Industry Act]
The Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate has designated Resilicon’s planned polysilicon facility in Groningen, Netherlands, as a strategic project under the EU’s Net Zero Industry Act (NZIA). The project aims to reduce heavy reliance on non-EU polysilicon sources, where over 85% of global production is currently concentrated. With an estimated capital requirement of approximately €900 million, the facility is designed to be one of the world's most energy-efficient plants, utilizing green raw materials like metallurgical silicon and hydrogen. This initiative is pivotal for strengthening European supply chain resilience, targeting the projected 80,000–120,000 MT of annual European polysilicon demand by the end of the decade.

[Solar PV: Colombia Issues Resolution 40208 to Incentivize Renewable and Storage Integration]
The Colombian Ministry of Mines and Energy has issued Resolution 40208, establishing a long-term electricity contracting mechanism designed to mitigate demand risk and integrate renewable energy and storage capacity. The scheme involves 15-year contracts, with awards required by July 31, 2026, and delivery starting on January 1, 2030. The framework introduces four specific product categories: 24-hour supply, solar-only (6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.), hybrid blocks, and peak-demand supply (6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.), the latter serving as a direct signal for battery energy storage systems. This initiative marks a major step in reopening Colombia's long-term procurement market, aiming to address projected demand gaps while supporting the country's existing 1.59 GW of installed PV capacity.
