Published: Apr 12, 2026 22:35
The African Development Bank’s Sustainable Energy Fund for Africa (SEFA) has launched a call for proposals for its new green hydrogen program, providing up to USD 20 million in pre-investment support for private-sector projects across Africa. Capitalized by the German government, the facility offers reimbursable grants to three to five top-tier projects to cover feasibility studies and engineering designs, specifically aiming to help these developments reach final investment decision (FID) or financial close. The application window opened on April 10, 2026, and will remain active until May 11, 2026, representing a strategic effort to accelerate the deployment of green hydrogen and its derivatives across the continent.
