Cost Support Strengthened, Bullish Sentiment Rising in Titanium Dioxide Market [SMM Spot Titanium Express]

[SMM Titanium Spot Flash: Cost Support Strengthens, Bullish Sentiment Heats Up in Titanium Dioxide Market] On April 8, inquiry prices in the titanium dioxide market rose. Due to higher sulphuric acid prices, cost support strengthened, and rutile titanium dioxide prices are expected to rise slightly.

SMM April 8 update:

On April 8, inquiry prices in China's titanium dioxide market showed an upward trend compared with the previous day. According to SMM quotations, mainstream quotations for anatase titanium dioxide remained unchanged from the April 7 level of 13,800-14,200 yuan/mt; the quotation range for rutile titanium dioxide widened, with mainstream references at 15,000-17,200 yuan/mt, while chloride-process titanium dioxide quotations held steady at around 16,500 yuan/mt.

Driven by the continued rise in upstream sulphuric acid prices, cost support strengthened, and multiple enterprises expected titanium dioxide prices to continue to rise over the coming month. Currently, some producers are in a state of production suspension, and the overall industry sentiment is moderate. In addition, titanium concentrate of different grades directly affects the production cost and quality of titanium dioxide, and its price fluctuations warrant continued attention. Rutile titanium dioxide prices are expected to continue to rise slightly in the short term.
