First Section of Gansu-Zhejiang ±800 kV UHV DC Project Completed in Gansu

On March 24, in Qin'an County, Gansu Province, Section 3 of the ±800 kV Gansu–Zhejiang UHV DC transmission project in Gansu was completed, becoming the first of the project's 22 sections along the entire line to be completed. It is reported that the Gansu–Zhejiang ±800 kV UHV DC transmission project is a key national West-to-East Power Transmission project and also the world's first interregional UHV DC transmission project to adopt flexible DC transmission technology at both the sending and receiving ends. The line starts in Wuwei, Gansu Province, and ends in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, passing through six provincial-level regions: Gansu, Ningxia, Shaanxi, Henan, Anhui, and Zhejiang, with a total length of 2,370 kilometers.
