[SMM Steel] India’s HZL and Tata Steel to collaborate on low-carbon zinc

[SMM Steel] Hindustan Zinc Limited (HZL) and Tata Steel Limited signed a pact on March 24, 2026, to integrate EcoZen, a low-carbon zinc solution, into sustainable steel manufacturing. EcoZen, produced using renewable energy, has a carbon footprint 75% lower than the global industry average. This collaboration aims to reduce value-chain emissions in the galvanizing process, supporting decarbonization goals across India's infrastructure and automotive sectors.
