Musk Ventures Into 2nm Chip R&D And Manufacturing

On March 21, Tesla founder Elon Musk officially announced that, in collaboration with his three major enterprises—SpaceX, Tesla, and xAI—he will launch the construction of TeraFab, the largest chip manufacturing facility in history, marking a full-scale entry into 2nm advanced process chip manufacturing! With the establishment of this facility, Musk will also enter the semiconductor sector, filling the final significant piece of his technology empire. It is understood that the total investment in the TeraFab chip factory is expected to exceed 20 billion US dollars. Planned for construction in Austin, Texas, the facility's products will cover the entire industry chain, including logic chips, memory chips, and advanced packaging.
