【SMM Steel】Worthington Steel lowers acceptance threshold for Klöckner takeover

【SMM Steel】US-based Worthington Steel lowered the minimum acceptance threshold for its acquisition of German steel distributor Klöckner to 57.5% and extended the deadline to Mar 26, 2026. Worthington currently holds ~56.9%, just 0.6% short, and will not raise the offer price. Completion would expand its presence in EU and US steel distribution markets.
