China National Chemical Engineering & EUF Ink EPC Deal for 800,000 mt/yr Green Ammonia Project

Published: Mar 11, 2026 17:38
[SMM Hydrogen Energy Bulletin] On March 5, China National Chemical Engineering Donghua Company, together with Portugal-based EUF Green Hydrogen Group, signed an EPC general contracting agreement with its subsidiary Regenerative Green Hydrogen Energy (Inner Mongolia) Company for the Phase 1, Stage 1 green ammonia project of an integrated wind and solar power hydrogen-ammonia project with an annual capacity of 800,000 mt. Representatives of both parties attended the signing, witnessed the event, and held discussions on green energy cooperation.
The project will be located in Chahar Right Back Banner, Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia (the capital of wind power). Phase 1, Stage 1 will build a 200,000-mt-class green ammonia demonstration unit using atmospheric electrolyzers, adopting new energy-powered water electrolysis for green hydrogen production plus flexible ammonia synthesis technology, and will also carry strong industry demonstration value.

Lastest Launch of Battery Energy Storage Plant in Hung Yen Vietnam
GG Power has officially launched a battery energy storage plant in Hung Yen Province, marking a major step in Vietnam’s renewable energy push. The VNĐ300 billion facility has a capacity of 5GWh per year and features over 90% automation, supplying storage solutions for households, businesses, and the national grid. Developed with technology licensed from Goldwind, the plant aims to boost domestic tech capability and reduce reliance on imports. Officials say energy storage will be key as Vietnam targets up to 16GW of battery capacity in the coming years.

SAIC-GM-Wuling And CATL Reach Strategic Cooperation
Recently, SAIC-GM-Wuling and CATL signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Ningde, Fujian. The two parties will collaborate around four major directions: industrial scaling, passenger-commercial compatible battery swapping, joint global expansion, and ecological synergy, advancing their cooperation from single-model supply to full-spectrum, full-scenario ecological synergy. In terms of battery supply, more than 15 new energy vehicle models under SAIC-GM-Wuling will adopt CATL as a core power battery partner, and they will jointly expand overseas markets. In April 2026, the "Huajing S" equipped with CATL batteries was officially unveiled, enhancing the intelligent travel experience with high-power performance.
