SGCC Launches 10 Measures for High-Quality New Energy Development, Aiming for 200+ Million kW Grid Connection

State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC) has launched ten key measures to support high-quality development of new energy:
Strengthen planning coordination: Optimize scale and layout of new energy (e.g., Gobi-desert regions, hydro-solar-wind bases), ensuring annual grid connection of >200 million kW during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.
Enhance resource allocation: Increase grid investment, boost inter-provincial transmission capacity by 35%, and expand regional power mutual assistance capabilities.
Improve grid hosting capacity: Build distribution networks and microgrids, adding >900 million kVA capacity to support local consumption.
