Shuanghuan Tech Launches Hubei's First kt-Scale Sodium-Ion Cathode Material Pilot Line

On February 6, the first batch of products officially rolled off the production line at the pilot base of Shuanghuan Technology in Yingcheng, Hubei Province, which has an annual capacity of kt-level sodium-ion battery composite cathode materials. This established Hubei's first kt-level sodium-ion battery cathode material pilot line achieving the transition from R&D to mass production. The project took only one and a half years from the technological breakthrough in September 2024 to the product rollout. The composite cathode material it developed enables batteries for two-wheeled electric vehicles to achieve a driving range exceeding 100 kilometers in extremely cold conditions of -30℃. Samples have already been sent to 18 downstream battery cell clients, and qualified certifications have been obtained from multiple top-tier enterprises. The pilot base utilizes intelligent equipment such as AGVs and robotic arms. Shuanghuan Technology is also planning the construction of a 10kt-level sodium-ion battery industrial park, promoting the industrial layout of the entire sodium-ion battery industry chain, and assisting Hubei's chemical industry in transitioning towards high-end and intelligent development.
