【SMM Steel】Technip Energies to build SkyNRG's first EU SAF plant

【SMM Steel】SkyNRG awarded Technip Energies a contract for its DSL-01 SAF project in Delfzijl, Netherlands. The standalone plant will produce 100,000 t/y of SAF via the HEFA route. Technip Energies will manage EPC after completing the design phase. The plant uses waste oils and includes an on-site SMR hydrogen unit for better cost efficiency. It's the firm's 6th HEFA-based SAF project in Europe. The integrated setup aims to deliver competitive green fuel.
