[SMM New Energy] 54 GWh Battery Cell Manufacturing Base Project Commences Construction

Shenzhen Pengcheng Wuxian New Energy Co., Ltd. announced the commencement of the battery cell manufacturing base project in the Yibin Energy Storage Industrial Park in Sichuan. The project will be constructed in two phases to build a production site with an annual capacity of 54 GWh for energy storage battery cells. According to reports, the project is located in the core industrial area of Xuzhou New District and will be developed in two phases, with an overall planned annual production capacity of 54 GWh for energy storage battery cells, aiming to create an industry-leading smart manufacturing base. The main structure of the first phase is expected to be completed and equipment installed and debugged by the end of September 2026, with trial production scheduled to begin in November 2026.
